Maybe reactive nodes: This sounds like reactive lymph nodes. Do you have acne? Sometimes in people with skin problems and skin infections the lymph nodes in the neck will swell. You should discuss this with your doctor or see and ENT doctor for an evaluation.

Not likely: They are small lymph nodes that enlarge and contract depending on the problems in your upper airway or stomach.
