Ringworm: You may have gotten it from a pet, in a gym or through personal contact with someone who was infected.

Antifungals.: Ringworm is a type of fungus, and is quite contagious via direct contact with humans or animals. Try to treat it with an otc antifungal cream. However if it does not respond or you have more than one lesion, see your doc. You may need prescription antifungals, either topical or oral.
