Yes: "ringworm " is a misleading reference to a fungal infection. It has nothing to do with worms and yes it can be cured. Other than the scalp if it is a limited infection, topical medications otc or by prescription can be very effective. See your pcp or dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.
