Sounds like: Polycystic ovarian syndrome . Yes, spironolactone should help abnormal hair growth and acne but won't regulate periods. Sounds like you are not ovulating regularly causing the irregular bleeding. Oral contraceptives help that. If you want to get pregnant sometimes metformin will stimulate ovulation and also helps with weight loss.
