Warm comp first: Hi, whether or not you need eyelid scrubs once or twice a day is between you and your eye md, but the sequence should be warm compress first, lid scrub next and artificial tears as many times a day as it takes for your eyes to not feel dry.

My preference: Is to not use lid scrubs. I think they cause more harm than good. Warm compresses should be 5 minutes once a day and twice at the absolute most. Artificial tears are as needed depending on how bad your dry eye is. Drops are best used after the warm compresses and not before.
