A member asked:

My cortisol level has been 2. i had endo but he released me to my primary. should i keep having blood tests? he gave me meds for 2 months still low.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Symptoms? signs?: You cannot make a diagnosis of adrenal insufficiency based on random cortisol levels. You should have signs and symptoms that are consistent with adrenal insufficiency. Many people are on steroid medications through injections, inhalers, pills, creams that affect their adrenal function and produce low cortisol levels. Trust that your endo knows what he is saying.
