Neuropathy : But what you might be confusing is neuropathy with a neuroma or metatarsagia . When u wear high heels it forces the weight onto the ball of the foot and if not enough room for toes not uncommon for them to feel numb. Neuropathy is most common in diabetics.

Neuropathy: High heeled shoes are almost never comfortable and there is a reason. The is pressure on the metatarsal heads which can irritate a transverse ligament to puts local pressure on the nerve causing morton's neuromas. Pressure medially just below the ankle can cause problems with the posterior tibilalis nerve with can cause foot numbness and pain. It dose not cause general peripheral neuropathy.
