Why do people/doctors say hpv can sometimes clear up on its own? dont they mean hpv can lay dormant. viruses never just go away! can't rid a virus.

HPV can go away: Hpv is a common virus that most of us are exposed to by virtue of being human beings who are sexually active. It is an issue when it causes genital warts and pre-cancerous changes of the cervix. It is possible for the virus to lay dormant in the areas where exposure occurred, but it can also be cleared. Your chances of clearing the virus are better if you do not smoke!
