Foreign body ear: The safest way to get anything out if the ear, that shouldn't be there, is to have a dr take it out. It is also the only way that you would know all of the foreign object(s) is/are out by having someone look. Can all be done at the same time. A foreign body in the ear canal is low risk for causing hearing loss, but ear drums can possibly be injured, which could lead to some hearing problems.

Otoscopic exam: The best way to ensure there's nothing in your ear is to have a professional examine your ear canal with an otoscope. If you visit an otolaryngologist (ear, nose & throat doctor) s/he is also likely to have the tools necessary to remove any foreign bodies that may remain in your ear. When you call to make the appointment, be sure the person you will see can remove any remaining fragments.
