Maybe: There are many reasons for periods to be painful and these could get worse with time passing such as endometriosis or ademomyosis or fibroids. If you are diabetic, obese, have polycystic ovaries or other risks for endometrial cancer this could be a concern as well. I would definitely suggest an evaluation by a gyn.

Yes and no: Many women will experience worsening pain with their period. However it usually has un underlying cause. Uterine hyperthrophy, adenomyosis, endometriosis, polyps , fibroids, uterine malposition. See a gyn for proper diagnosis.
