Meds: A non-sedating antihistamine (like zyrtec) andan h2 blocker (like pepcid) sshould reduce rash about 30-45 minutes after taking them. Important question is if you know what caused it so it does not recur. If not, should follow up with an allergist.

Allergic reaction: If it is true allergic reaction, then avoidance of the allergen will curb the reaction hopefully. Using an anti-allergy preparation such as Benadryl (diphenhydramine) at night might help. Hydrocortisone cream once to twice daily on the affected areas excluding eyes may be tried for no longer than 2 weeks at a time. If those fail, definitely see a doc.
