A member asked:

I have an area on my right upper leg which always feels numb. i've had it for 15 years. what is it and can i do something to get the feeling back?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lower back issue: The innervation to the legs originates in the lower back. Any change in sensation or pain in the thigh originates from compression of a nerve root in the lower back and probably should be evaluated with an MRI of the lower back.
