Mouth sore: Typically these are cold sores (hpv virus, contagious), canker sores (pale or yellow ulcer with a red outer ring, non-contagious), irritation, or other more rare causes. They typically go away in 2 weeks. Gargle with salt water; take tylenol (acetaminophen) for the pain; avoid hot, spicy, or acidic foods. For canker sores you can try orabase or blistex over the counter medications.
