Yes: His risk is increased and he will need close watching and treatment as needed but if CABG is needed, it's needed.

No signficant risk: Bleeding ulcer 6 months ago is not a very high risk for bleeding. However its still a possiblitiy especially if there are occult positive stools. However one should not delay heart surgery but rather be on the lookout in the postoperative period.

Take precautions: There is some risk as stress can irritate the stomach, and bypass patients should stay on Aspirin indefinitely to protect the grafts. But if the docs are concerned, they will keep him on ulcer medication. Better to focus on helping him get through the surgery first.
