Depends on why? : Stopping birth control can be done at any time... But why are you stopping? Are you trying to get pregnant? If you don't want to change your cycle the best time to stop would be after you finish the last pill in the pack.

Changes: If women don't want the hassle of irregular bleeding, stopping birth control pills should be done at the end of a pack when on the "sugar pill". This avoids interrupting the active hormone suppression which may lead to the onset of bleeding. It may take a cycle or two to regulate out to a normal pattern since bcp periods are drug induced. A woman's body needs to adapt to their own hormones again.
