What causes pressure on your stomach which may seem like you have shortness of breath?

Hyperventilation: A teenager with shortness of breath and midepigastrict sense of "pressure on the stomach" might be suffering from hyperventilation and excessive mental distress. Ptsd & panic attacks have symptoms simiar to these. A doctor is needed to rule out other causes like an overactive thyroid & gastritis. Firstly, the person's guardian needs to be informed.

Heartburn: If the pressure is in your upper belly it could be heartburn, if you are having shortness of breath that doesn't resolve quickly you should se a doctor right away.
