Thumb Foreign Body: Not enough information. If it is in the thumb deep, then you will need to see your primary care doctor for advice. I am not sure how you went about getting this item out of the foot, but you might want to show that to your primary care doctor, too, to make sure there is no infection.F.

First: Is it a sliver of glass? If so, washing the area gently with soap and warm water & then gently scraping with a credit card (or straight edge) to flip it out. They should have demo's on u tube for this. If it doesn't come out don't dig for it. Get medical assistance to remove it.
