Could be meds!: Are you taking venlafaxine and Lexapro (escitalopram) together or was Lexapro (escitalopram) stopped? Also check with your dr. The dose of venlafaxine and what time of day you take it. Sometimes adjusting the dose and time of day corrects the problem. Any history of seizures or sleep terrors/nightmares? Discuss a sleep study.Of course this all depends upon how frequent these occur and how disruptive to your life the sx are.

Venlafaxine & dreams: Some people do experience vivid dreaming with Effexor (venlafaxine) -- 3-7% with the xr form, and 4% with the immediate release form. Klonopin may cause this also, but less frequently. Some people with depression and anxiety also have bad dreams before even taking any medicines at all. You and your doctor need to assess the risks and benefits of these medications in your case.
