Yes it can be: Yes surgery can be performed safely during pregnancy but it is better to postpone surgery till after the baby is delivered. But if it must be done, it is done by laparoscopic cholicystectomy.

Can be done: There is some risk to a baby from a general anaesthetic, no matter what. To minimize the risk, your surgery for a sick gallbladder is best postponed until after delivery. If conditions show the gallbladder is infected or another emergency, then, the risks of the anaesthetic are worth taking to avoid peforation that may risk the baby's life if it's not dealt with. Surgery during term only 4 emergnc.
