Viral Illness: Possibly also has stuffy nose. Viral illness causes nasal congestion, cough, fever, headache, some nausea or vomiting. Make sure she drinks enough fluid, keep nose clear, use saline nasal spray and blow nose, 4-5 times/d. For vomiting, Benadryl 1 teaspoonful 2-3 times daily, some pedialyte, avoid fried, greasy food. For headache and fever, some tylenol (acetaminophen). If not better in 3-5 days, see her ped doc.
