30 minutes (or more): You need to find out how long it takes your body to start to absorb the medication -- usually that's about 30 minutes, or more, depending on your degree of gastric emptying. If your gastric emptying is 0-15% at 2 hours, consider taking it an hour before; 15-30% - 45 minutes, and 30%+ 30 minutes should work out well. Good luck! i've had gastroparesis for 9 years, so i can truly sympathize!
