Need FDA approval: Domperidone isn't available in the US, although it is used in other countries for various reasons. It appears that even compounding pharmacies will have a tough time without permission. Here's the FDA page on it: it is available for investigational use only & the form you need to get it. Of course, gov't (state and local) sites are notoriously inaccurate, out of date. http://tinyurl.com/mfcu5xm

Illegal drug: Domperidone is currently not a legal drug in the United States of America. In 2004 the United States Food and Drug Administration issued a warning about domperidone, it is illegal to distribute this drug. There are other drugs for gastroparesis that your physician may choose. You need to visit your physician and discuss your need for treatment. http://www.fda.gov/drugs/developmentapprovalprocess/h
