Labwork: Not sure why he asked, but when reading an xray or ct scan if he had a suspicion for something in particular, supportive labwork would be helpful guiding his decision.

Kidney function: Blood work would help determine your kidney function. People with low kidney function can be at risk of negative effects of contrast.
