Unlikely to happen: Smoking does cause the placenta to begin deteriorating quicker and most infants to smoking mom's will weigh at least a half pound less than otherwise. There is also some increased crib death risk if born into a smoking household and other health issues.Stopping now can begin to have health benefits for you and baby immediately.I would not loose sleep over this issue.
