Sp/st : Cervical sprain/strain involving multiple muscles and ligaments, such as from a whiplash injury can do this. But this is just one possibility out of many and an in-person examination would be required for proper diagnosis and treatment. Noting how long the symptoms have been going on can also help your doctor provide better feedback. Good luck.

Pain: Muscle tightness int his region is what you are describing. However, you need to see a doctor to find out what the underlying source is that caused this in the first place. Then you would be able to receive appropriate treatment.
