I've got a sore throat that i think has made the back of my neck hurt plus i'm having sharp deep like pains at top of chest closer to my shoulder.

See a doctor ASAP: There is a potential for this to be extremely severe. It may involve the potential spaces between muscle groups in your neck and can obstruct your breathing. Go and get seen and hope this turns out to be benign.
