Spinal causes are -: Most likely causing your problems. Check with your orthopedist to be investigated. The knots in the muscles can be treated with massage, therapy with stretching exercises, heat & muscle relaxers might be useful.

See physiatrist: Knots in the trapezius can cause those symptoms- as can other knots in the scapula thoracic region (in particular, infraspinatis, teres, levator scapula, and/or scalenes). See physiatrist to treat (and rule out a spinal cause). Treatment may include physical therapy to change movement patterns, topical muscle relaxants, massage, and/or trigger point injections/acupuncture.
