Depends: It is unlikely that a ligament tear would release enough inflammatory markers to affect his immune system. However, feeling under the weather can be due to many things and all symptoms need to be considered.

Doubt it: Doubt the injury is causing him to be under the weather unless the injury was severe and he is being medicated which are causing him to be drowsy etc 'under the weather'.
