My dad went to work in 1 degree weather one night and he ended up with a chest and head cold. he's sniffling and coughing. is this just a cold?

Evaluation: I am assuming since you are 34years of age,your dad must be over 50years. He needs to get checked out by his physician. Even if he had a cold at first, other co-morbid conditions could predispose him to having a bacterial complication once his immunity is down.
