Variable: If a urine culture documents a urinary tract infection, a follow up urine culture should be clear after antibiotic treatment. That is the usual check up for a simple uti.

Recheck urine: They will collect a urine and use a dipstick test for an initial test. Depending on the original type of infection, they may go ahead and send the sample to the lab to see if any bacteria grow. It should be negative.
