Scientific Rx: Acne is a chronic disease that flares -- stress or no. I was able to stop taking rx when i was 50. In the meantime, topical benzoyl peroxide is your first treatment. If this fails, your personal physician can add topical clindamycin, topical tretinoin, a systemic antibiotic, or one of the big guns. Manage the disease until it remits -- you owe it to yourself.
