Very: A non immune person exposed to someone with chickenpox has a 95% risk of acquiring the disease. The cpx patient is contagious from a day prior to breaking out until the sixth day.Their saliva, sneezes or the debris from blisters all can spread the disease. The average incubation is 14 days from exposure but the range is 10-21.As little as 1 hour in the same room with a case is considered an exposure.
