Probable: Beans often causes people to pass gas but not diarrhea. Thus it can be an allergy. Do you have trouble with peanuts also?

Possibly: Possibly but not likely. There are other kinds of reactions to foods besides allergy, and diarrhea could come about because of the high fiber content in beans, and the poorly digestible sugars they also contain. There are many signs that help distinguish the two, and an allergist could help you figure that out.
