Give Antipsychotics: It depends on the cause of the psychoses, for example, if there could be a physical cause-like lupus. Then, if it were me and my patient was truly psychotic, i would likely prescribe him or her an antipsychotic medication. There are several very effective ones to choose from. Then, i would carefully monitor my patient, seeing him or her every week, if needed, until the psychosis lifted.

Building Trust = Key: As a psychologist, i'd want 2be part of a treatment team 4this individual. Psychologists aren't medical docs & as such don't prescribe meds. I'd be curious about how meds known 2sharpen thinking would affect this person's perceptions & ideas. A psychiatrist could recommend meds 2 try. Hopefully, we'd work together 2help this person find ways 2sense when s/he could use others' reality checks.
