Take regularly: Like many medications, Celexa (citalopram) depends on maintaining an adequate blood level. If you do not take it regularly you are short changing yourself.

Not adequately : Celexa (citalopram) like other antidepressant/anti anxiety medication in that group need to be taken consistently to be effective. Occasional or intermittent use of the medication does adequately treat your anxiety and might even worsen it due to withdrawal symptoms that may occur from sudden discontinuation of the medication.
