Time for fillings: Nine fillings to do in one setting can be tough on the patient and the dentist. Local anesthesia will be used to numb your teeth so the actual treatment should not hurt at all. Afterwards, you may have some hot/cold sensitivity. Be careful to avoid chewing your lip and/or tongue following treatment, ask your dentist if the treatment can be broken into shorter appts. Good luck!

That depends on: The location, extent of decay, between teeth or surface fillings, depth of restoration ... 9 fillings seems like a lot to do in one sitting especially if you are being numbed in multiple areas. Good luck. Hope this helps.
