Technique Sensitive: They will apply a topical numbing gel to the inside of your cheek where the injection will go. That will help to numb it. If your dentist is really good, you may hardly feel it at all. If he's not so good, you may feel some slight to moderate discomfort, nothing you can't handle. Just breathe deeply through your nose while he's administering the shot, and all will be well.
