Get Help: Frequently patient with cancer are fall risks because they are frail and in poor health. Add to that the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy that may add to the unsteadiness. It is important to keep your mom active and mobile. Physical and occupational therapy may help with gait training/strengthening. Having help available to steady your mom to prevent falls is important.
