A member asked:

How bad is pot on your lungs vs. cigs? does it increase lung cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unknown: Answer is not well understood as relatively few studies have been done in the usa on the effects of marijuana for ethical/legal reasons. However, small studies outside the usa have not proven marijuana to be as toxic as cigarettes. Also, marijuana probably has less carcinogenic chemicals/additives (although this is also unknown b/c there is less quality/fda control ).
