A member asked:

I smoked average 10 cigarette's a day for around 12 years and stopped at the age of 31, i'm now 37, waht are my chances of getting lung cancer?

Your risk of cancer now is not materially higher than that it would have been, had you not smoked. You can reduce your risk of cancer by adopting healthy habits: Eat a mostly vegetarian diet, avoid alcohol, tobacco and street drugs, avoid excessive exposure to sun, maintain healthy weight, get HPV vaccine, exercise 30 minutes each day, drink enough water so your urine is mostly colorless.
