Moral judgment: Bad is a moral judgment and i refrain from those. Can it ruin your life is fact and the answer to that is yes. There is no safe way to use a street drug. You are always at risk of side-effects, arrest, damage to your brain, depression, anxiety, decreased motivation with cannabis use. Marijuana of this era is about 20 times more potent than it was in the 60's and with it comes significant risk.

Gateway drug.: We generally consider marijuana a gateway drug. Relatively inexpensive, easy to find, societally pervasive and quite addictive. Leads people to seek out more hardcore drugs later on. Bad path to start going down.
