Try first: Depending on your age, try for at least 6 months first. Unless you are not having regular cycles at all, then see your doctor sooner. If above 40, then see your doctor now.

Depends on your age: If you have been having unprotected intercourse for a year with regular cycles and you are under 35 yo, you need evaluation. The same is true if you are over 35yo are it has been 6 months without protection.
