No: In order for you to gain any significant weight you need to over eat for a long period of time. For most people it takes several months or years. It is almost impossible to gain any appreciable amount of weight in one day. Even eating contest winners can't do that.

If you exceed the : Calories that you burn off that day and do it regularly , you will gain weight for sure. Most people need about 1500 to 1800 calories a day. Eat more and gain weight . Eat less and lose . 3500 calories is 1 pound of fat.

Don't overreact.: Overeating one day will not make you gain body weight. You may gain a few pounds of water weight if the foods you are were particularly salty, but this weight tends to be lost just as quickly.
