Well...: Try a good high fibre diet, generous water intake, and judicious time on the toilet. Do not linger on the stool. Get in, get done, and get up. Otc topical meds could help mild discomfort, as do sitz baths. But, sometimes surgery is necessary, so seek an opinion from a general or colorectal surgeon if symptoms or bleeding become problematic. Options: It is important is not to make your hemorrhoids worse. When you have a bowel movement be gentle when you clean yourself off. You can use pre-moistened toweletts to dab your anus. Try not to wipe/rub. Pat the anus dry after cleaning. Avoid using harsh soaps or ones that contain dyes or aromas. Cotton underwear can be helpful as it absorbs moisture well in the anal area.
