Stomach irritation.: It is not absolutely required to take Paxil with food but it helps. Most meds are easier to stomach by taking them with small amount of food or 1/2 glass of milk. With several meds ( ie geodon, (ziprasidone) viibryd) the effective blood levels are almost doubled by taking them with food.
