Yes!!!!!!: Without eating enough protein, if calorie intake is not sufficient, the body will burn carbs first, and then muscle and last fat! How unfair is that? Starving is not healthy at all and has other problems. Don't do it. If you feel compelled to then you need to talk to your doc about it. If your doc cannot convince you that this is unsafe, then you need to talk to a psychologist or psychiatrist.
