Get help: Reach out to a therapist and get help. If you talk with someone about the thoughts, you will be able to uncover the problems that are bothering you and search together for solutions. As your life situation improves you will not feel as hopeless. You may also want to consider taking anrtidepressants so consider seeing a psychiatrist for a med evaluation.

Agree with Dr.Lavi : - start by obtaining mental health care.If you are having thoughts about killing yourself, get seen at the nearest emergency room now. Have a friend or relative drive you or call 911 for emergency services for transport. You can call the national suicide hotlines 24/7 at 1-800-suicide (1-800-784-2433) or 1-800-273 – talk (1-800-273-8255) for support. When stable look to find meaning in your life.

Get Help: National suicide prevention hotline 1-800-273-talk. I would encourage you to talk to a primary care doctor to get a referral for a psychologist/or a qualified mental health professional to figure out what's happening with you. If thoughts of suicide become overwhelming, please dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room -- they will do psych eval at the er and discuss your options.

DEPRESSION: Get an evaluation from a psychiatrist to help identify what depression means to you and whatever else may be bothering you. Consider recommendations for medication if any are given. Get a referral for a reputable psychotherapist to speak with. Meds and therapy combined are most optimal; no just one or the other.
