Tough problem: First you must determine the cause. While BP is effective for most cases of acne, other treatments include salicylic acid or topical/systemic retinoids or topical/systemic antibiotics, or hormone therapy or ipl or pdt to effectively treat the condition. These later interventions must be prescribed by a physician.
