No: First teeth can erupt prior to birth or not until 15 months.The range of normal is quite wide.They all seem to catch up later.I see no connection of this normal issue to a dietary deficiency or his hand defect.

Late tooth eruption: All children have their own time table for the eruption of their teeth. There is no treatment like baby dentures and i would wait at least another 6 months before concern. At that point seek out an oral surgeon to get a single, panorex x-ray to see if there is areason for concern and aplan for treatment.

See dentist: All children should have their first dental visit by age one according to the academies for pediatricians and pediatric dentists. They can advise you better on your concerns. Many general dentists as well as pediatric dentists have panoramic x-rays that can check for missing teeth.
