A member asked:

If i have contracted hand, foot, and mouth disease, should i still breastfeed my baby?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably: This is from a virus termed cocksackie. By the time you have the rashes from it, you have already exposed your family and baby. There is no reason to assume that breast feeding by that time will be an additional risk. And the disease in all but newborns is unpleasant but not dangerous.
